Job summary

Clayton Services is seeking an Electrical Drafter in Northwest Houston, TX, to develop detailed electrical drawings and wiring diagrams for custom industrial equipment. You will work with project management, production, and customers to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.

Ideal candidates have 1-2+ years in electrical drafting, proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, and strong attention to detail. Direct-hire role with benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of electrical drafting experience required.
• Experience developing panel layouts and wiring diagrams preferred.
• Formal education or technical training in electrical drafting or related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and documentation for equipment and control panels.
• Create 2D layouts for electrical enclosures and control panels.
• Develop and revise electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for panel assembly and installation.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and production personnel to develop accurate design packages.
• Incorporate components and vendor information into project drawings.
• Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with specs and standards.
• Maintain drawing revisions and project records.
• Support drafting templates, symbols, and practices.
