Advantage Technical is seeking an Industrial Electrical Design Specialist in Houston to develop detailed electrical drawings for industrial systems, focusing on power distribution and automation. You will design schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts and support senior engineers with calculations and project reporting.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial electrical design, strong AutoCAD Electrical skills, and solid knowledge of power distribution and control systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical design within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Solid understanding of power distribution systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
• Ability to interpret and create detailed schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, detailed electrical drawings for industrial systems focused on power distribution and automation.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Design layouts for PLCs, VFDs, and motor/stator systems.
• Support senior engineers with calculations, design documentation, and project reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and clients to meet specifications and deadlines.
• Conduct occasional site visits to support installations, troubleshoot issues, and verify design accuracy.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

We're hiring an Industrial Electrical Design Specialist to develop high-quality electrical drawings and support automation and power distribution projects from concept through execution.

Hours and Pay

• Pay: $45.00 - $55.00/hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Onsite)
