Job summary

Prysmian in Marshall, TX is seeking an Industrial Electrical & Controls Technician to support the manufacturing of Medium and Low Voltage Cable on the plant floor. This is a hands-on role focused on diagnosing electrical and control issues, troubleshooting live equipment, and improving automation systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

You will develop, maintain, and modify PLC and HMI programs; provide off-hours controls support; troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control

Qualifications

• 2-4 years hands-on work supporting industrial automation and electrical systems in manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot live electrical circuits and control systems in a production environment.
• Knowledge of PLC platforms such as Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Modicon, Siemens.
• Experience with energized equipment up to 480V preferred (240V min).
• Strong electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and modify PLC and HMI programs for manufacturing processes.
• Provide automation and controls support for production, including off-hours.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues on the plant floor.
• Inspect, install, maintain, repair, and calibrate electrical systems and automation equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve failures on live industrial equipment to support safe operations.
• Support commissioning and startup of new manufacturing equipment.
• Mentor maintenance teams and drive improvements in safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Maintain backups and critical files per plant standards.
• Comply with electrical safety standards and HSE requirements.
