Job summary

Titan America is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Roanoke Cement Plant in Troutville, VA. The role involves industrial power distribution, control systems, and plant automation to support maintenance, reliability, and capital projects.

The successful candidate will design and program automation, develop electrical schematics, and lead capital initiatives while ensuring safety standards such as NFPA 70E and NEC are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in cement/mining/heavy manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley Studio 5000, FactoryTalk HMI, and AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and automation issues across the plant, including medium voltage systems, motors, drives, and control panels.
• Design, program, and optimize industrial automation using PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motion control systems.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Lead or support capital projects for electrical upgrades and new equipment installations.
• Provide support during outages: planning, execution, and commissioning of electrical work.
• Mentor plant electricians and technicians on operation, troubleshooting, and safety best practices.
