Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Wiring & Electrical Assembly Technician in Houston, TX to support the construction, wiring, and installation of industrial electrical systems and equipment. You will read technical drawings and specifications to assemble, wire, test, and troubleshoot equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities include wiring, schematics interpretation, conduit installation, and collaborative problem solving to meet project schedules.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
Experience in electrical assembly, automation, or related environments.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience with common electrical/mechanical hand tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on-site safely.

Responsibilities

Assemble and wire industrial electrical equipment according to engineering specifications.
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
Route, terminate, label, and secure electrical wiring and cabling.
Install electrical components including control devices and distribution equipment.
Fabricate and install conduit systems and cable management solutions.
Perform panel layout, mechanical assembly, drilling, fastening, and mounting.
Verify wiring accuracy and conduct functional testing of completed assemblies.
Maintain compliance with electrical standards and company quality requirements.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Identify and report quality concerns or material shortages.
Support field installation, startup, and service projects when required.
Maintain an organized work area and follow safety procedures.
Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and production personnel to meet schedules.
