Job summary

Integrated Power Services in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced Electric Motor Mechanic to repair industrial AC/DC motors, generators, gear boxes and related equipment onsite. You will diagnose, disassemble, repair, and prepare units for shipment while supporting our continuous improvement culture.

We value 10+ years in motor repair, strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, safety emphasis, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in an electric motor repair shop.
• Able to perform basic math functions.
• Strong capability to diagnose and repair rotating equipment.
• Excellent technical and mechanical skills.
• Self-starter; willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose incoming units, disassemble, repair, assemble, and prepare items for shipment.
• Perform mechanical rebuilds on rotating equipment such as motors, pumps and fans.
• Measure and record data using tables, dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration meters.
• Use multimeters, megger, and Baker instruments; measure winding, RTD, and heater resistances and clearances.
• Participate in daily discussions on customer products.
