Job summary

Austin Powder Company in McArthur, Ohio is seeking an E&I Technician to support electrical and instrumentation systems across the plant. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment up to 480V, work with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and loop diagrams, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

We value hands-on problem solving, strong diagnostic skills with multimeters and other tools, and familiarity with CMMS maintenance practices.

Qualifications

3–5 years experience as I&E/automation technician or similar role.
Experience with industrial PLCs, HMIs, sensors and instrumentation.
Proficiency with multimeters and diagnostic tools.
Familiarity with CMMS and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
Experience with robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems up to 480V.
Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters, ohm meters and other tools.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, and MCCs.
Troubleshoot and repair VFDs and motor control circuits.
Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation.
Perform loop checks, instrument calibrations, and verification of control system functionality.
