Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking an E&I Technician to join our plant team in McArthur, Ohio. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering to install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment up to 480V, and to support reliability goals.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults with multimeters, performing preventative maintenance on motors, drives, MCCs, and VFDs; calibrating instrumentation; and ensuring control systems operate within specification. Travel is not required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as an I&E technician, controls technician, automation technician, or similar role.
• Experience with industrial PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Proficiency with multimeters and diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols and robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems up to 480V.
• Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters, ohm meters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, and MCCs.
• Troubleshoot and repair VFDs and motor control circuits.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation.
• Perform loop checks, instrument calibrations, and verification of control system functionality.
