Job summary

SC Petfood Solutions, LLC is hiring an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to support our Ward, SC facility. The role focuses on maintaining the reliability and efficiency of electrical and instrumentation systems in a highly automated plant.

The technician will install, calibrate, and troubleshoot process instrumentation, read P&IDs, program PLCs (Allen Bradley ControlLogix) and HMIs (FactoryTalk View), and ensure compliance with NEC and NFPA 70E safety standards while contributing to

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 3 years’ industrial maintenance experience required.
Technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical fields preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical panels, instrumentation, and control systems.
Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot process instrumentation (flow, pressure, level, temperature).
Read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics; update documentation as needed.
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs (e.g., Allen Bradley ControlLogix) and HMIs (e.g., FactoryTalk View).
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in 480V three-phase systems, 120V AC, and 24V DC circuits.
Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs, MCCs, and soft starters.
Support equipment commissioning and start-up activities.
Adhere to electrical safety codes (NEC, NFPA 70E) and internal safety standards.
Contribute to root cause analyses and continuous improvement projects.
Document maintenance activities in the CMMS and logs.
