Job summary

Domtar is seeking an E&I Technician for Menominee Operations on a day shift to maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment, read machine drawings, and support mill uptime. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a journeyman card (preferred), four years of related industrial experience, strong safety mindset, and the ability to work overtime and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid journeyman card, indicating successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship program. A journeyman’s certification is preferred but we will consider equivalent experience without certifications.
• A positive work attitude and a keen sense of responsibility, particularly with respect to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Four (4) years of experience in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years in an industrial environment.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Solid computer skills and experience with electronic work orders.
• Self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment in support of all assets and equipment.
• Performing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to improve mill uptime/run ability, assemble and install new machinery and equipment and other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read and interpret machine drawings.
• Proficient in DCS troubleshooting.
• Drive hardware and communications equipment troubleshooting and board level replacement.
• Calibration and maintenance of all tagged field instrumentation.
• Be able to troubleshoot field devices using technology such as Delta-V, Allen-Bradley PLC’s.
