Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Baton Rouge, LA. You will repair trucks, carts, and other heavy equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot to keep plants running efficiently. A valid driver’s license, TWIC, and own tools are required.

Applicants should have 2–5 years of GM/Ford experience and be able to work independently while following safety policies and site procedures. Turner emphasizes safety, equal opportunity, and strong workforce engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have own tools and toolbox.
• 2–5 years experience minimum on GM and Ford vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• TWIC Card or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with modern automotive scan tools and diagnostic ability.
• General gasoline and diesel engine knowledge.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation and policy acceptance.
• Comply with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on automotive and heavy equipment.
• Follow supervisor's direction and complete additional tasks as needed.
