Collaborative Robotics in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an Industrial Designer to translate user needs into elegant, manufacturable robotics concepts. You will drive the design process from sketches to 3D models, balancing aesthetics with engineering constraints.

Work with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to bring products to life. This on-site role offers relocation support for candidates relocating to Santa Clara and requires US work authorization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
5+ years of professional industrial design experience with a strong portfolio of physical product work.
Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and understanding of how products are engineered and built.
Experience with rapid prototyping across multiple materials, methods, and tools.

Responsibilities

Translate user needs, design insights, and technical requirements into elegant design solutions.
Drive the industrial design process from concept exploration through prototyping and manufacturing.
Develop and refine design concepts through sketching and 3D modeling, including in evolving problem spaces.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to navigate constraints and trade-offs.
Independently manage design workstreams and communicate decisions across teams.
Contribute to adjacent creative initiatives to support a cohesive product experience and visual identity.
