Job summary

Cobot, based in Santa Clara, CA, seeks an Industrial Designer to shape the vision, definition and CMF for our robotics systems. You will iterate from sketches to 3D models, ensuring alignment with engineering and manufacturing requirements. Join us to redefine human-robot interaction in a fast-paced startup.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial design, a strong hardware portfolio, and US work authorization. Relocation stipend available for relocation to Santa Clara.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
• 5+ years of professional industrial design experience with a strong hardware portfolio.
• Translate complex problems into intuitive, thoughtful design solutions.
• Hands-on DFM experience and curiosity about how products are engineered.
• Experience with rapid prototyping across materials and methods.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, CATIA or equivalent.
• Proficiency in 3D visualization tools such as KeyShot or Cinema 4D.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment; willing to travel.
• Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Translate user needs and technical requirements into elegant industrial design solutions.
• Drive the design process from concept through prototyping and manufacturing.
• Develop and refine concept designs with sketching, 3D modeling and physical prototyping.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and manufacturing to address constraints.
• Independently manage design workstreams and communicate decisions across teams.
• Contribute to adjacent creative initiatives to support cohesive product identity.
