Job summary

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in Phoenix is seeking an Industrial Designer II to help develop drawings, high fidelity renderings and concept models aligned with input from the VP of Design and engineering teams.

The role includes material research, proposing manufacturing processes, and incorporating user feedback from studies into product concepts for electronics, amplifiers and accessories.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Design or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with CAD/Rendering tools and creative software.
• Strong communication and sketching skills.

Responsibilities

• Overall product design concepts from PRD feedback.
• Conduct user studies and relay results to R&D and Product Team.
• Front/rear panel graphics, materials, and concept design for amplifiers and electronics.
• Collaborate with engineers and Product Marketing on new projects.
• Create graphic renderings for presentations to Marketing.
• Assist graphic designer with overflow work.
• Coordinate with vendors for materials as needed.
• Work as an open-minded, collaborative team player.
