Job summary

Formlabs in Somerville, MA is seeking an Industrial Designer to take ideas from concept to production. You will craft intuitive hardware experiences and create high quality CAD to communicate design intent, collaborating with Product, UI Design, Engineering and Manufacturing.

You must have a degree in Industrial Design, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in 3D CAD, KeyShot and Adobe CC. Expect hands-on prototyping, rapid iteration, and close storytelling with stakeholders; equity, healthcare

Qualifications

• Portfolio of relevant design work required.
• University degree in Industrial Design required.
• Strong aesthetic decision making with keen eye for detail.
• Solid presentation and storytelling abilities.
• Clear hand sketch communication skills.
• Proficient in 3D CAD, KeyShot and Adobe CC.
• Comfort with rapid prototyping across methods.
• Experience solving problems with engineering/manufacturability constraints.

Responsibilities

• Design new products from idea to production.

The base pay will be determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and expected impact on the organization.The annual base pay range for this role is:$80,000 - $110,000 USD
