Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Work Location:

Remote from one of the following locations:

  • Northern Texas (e.g., Dallas, Fort Worth, Lancaster)
  • Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Vineland, New Jersey

Position will transition to hybrid or on-site at the Lancaster, Texas facility once construction is complete. Requires up to 50% travel to Bridor manufacturing sites, including domestic U.S. travel and occasional international travel (France, Holland).

Role Overview

Bridor, a global leader in industrial bakery manufacturing, is known for producing premium French and European-style baked goods. As we grow our presence in the U.S., we are investing in major facility expansions and greenfield developments.

We are seeking a Design-Focused Engineering Lead to drive the planning and layout of state-of-the-art bakery manufacturing plants. This role is central to shaping Bridor’s physical infrastructure—translating production needs into well-designed, functional, and food-safe facilities. You will lead the design vision for greenfield and expansion projects, ensuring the technical integrity, efficiency, and compliance of all facility layouts and systems. Key Responsibilities

Facility & Systems Design

  • Lead the development of technical design drawings and layout plans for new production lines, equipment, and facility infrastructure
  • Translate functional and operational requirements into innovative plant and utility designs
  • Manage and maintain a central database of design standards, selections, and drawings
  • Integrate food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance into every phase of facility design

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with project managers, internal stakeholders, and external consultants to align design with business and production goals
  • Collaborate with process engineers and operations teams to ensure that design decisions support performance, maintainability, and future scalability
  • Interface with equipment vendors, architects, and contractors to bring the design vision to life

Project Design Support

  • Participate in design reviews and pre-construction meetings to ensure consistency and quality across projects
  • Adjust and refine designs based on site feedback during installation and commissioning
  • Support documentation and standardization of design processes for repeatability in future projects

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of facility design experience in food manufacturing, industrial construction, or a related field
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM software for facility layout and equipment design
  • Strong understanding of food safety design standards, sanitation, and HACCP principles
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and project coordination skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including international trips

Preferred

  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to the design of greenfield food or beverage manufacturing sites
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and utilities integration
  • Familiarity with equipment installation, utilities planning, and building code compliance
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary and international project environments
