Job summary
American Plastics, LLC is looking for an Industrial Design Engineer at our Jefferson City, Missouri Innovation Center. This key role requires expertise in design, ideation, and optimization of plastic products, ensuring they meet customer expectations and manufacturing requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field, along with over 3 years of experience in industrial design engineering. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks is essential.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in industrial design engineering, preferably in injection molding or plastic product manufacturing.
- Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product development.

Responsibilities
- Conduct user research analyzing product usage and customer needs.
- Support the company’s product roadmap creation and innovation funnel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring designs to life.
- Develop concepts using CAD software to communicate design options.
- Create and present design concepts gathering feedback and iterating.
