Qualifications

• 5+ years electrical estimating, design-build or design-assist experience.
• Hands-on technical background in electrical construction.
• Experience estimating large commercial/industrial projects.
• Strong NEC knowledge to determine required systems.
• Ability to develop lighting layout from architectural narrative.
• Ability to read/interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Proven takeoff accuracy and well-documented estimates.
• Strong written and verbal communication; coordinate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop the design concept from drawings and owner narrative.
• Lay out lighting and perform photometric calculations to meet codes.
• Perform load calculations and size the electrical system.
• Coordinate with utility, HVAC, plumbing, and other trades.
• Build and maintain equipment/connected-load schedules.
• Deliver conceptual budgets and move toward GMP proposals.
• Write clear scope letters with inclusions/exclusions and assumptions.
• Lead preconstruction communications with client teams.
