Job summary

PFNonwovens Hazleton in Humboldt Industrial Park, Hazleton, PA, is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and sustain controls systems for production and utility equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and optimal line performance.

The role involves collaborating with Operations, Process Engineering, and Maintenance; upgrading PLCs and HMIs; diagnosing electrical issues with meters and oscilloscopes; and sharing knowledge with the team while maintaining a safe, orderly work

Qualifications

High School Diploma with Associates Degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
1-3 years of industrial experience preferred.
Fundamental knowledge of electrical theory and power systems.
Familiar with NEC and NFPA-70E standards.
Able to diagnose problems with meters and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and maintain controls components and systems for production and utility equipment.
Observe safety rules and correct hazards; coordinate with supervisors as needed.
Modify control systems and install new equipment with suppliers when required.
Upgrade obsolete PLCs, HMIs, and drive systems.
Diagnose issues using electrical diagrams and test equipment; train staff as needed.
Maintain clean work area and provide off-hour support when required.
