Job summary
Illinois Tool Works Inc. in Appleton, WI, is seeking an Industrial Controls Technician II to perform repair and preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment across all divisions.
The role supports equipment moves, new installations, and safety projects, with focus on CNC lathes, sheet metal equipment, and PLC-controlled systems. You should have PLC programming experience and strong troubleshooting skills, reading complex electrical schematics, and a hands-on approach to equipment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience.
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience programming PLCs and VFDs.
- Ability to troubleshoot 5VDC to 575VAC systems.
- Proficient with CMMS software.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate forklift.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment.
- Program PLCs and VFD motors.
- Read work orders and owners’ manuals.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Assist with equipment moves and new installations.
- Maintain safety standards and compliance.
