Job summary

Pregis Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Controls and Electrical Technician to translate schematics into practical manufacturing processes on the production floor. You will support engineering-to-manufacturing handoffs, develop work instructions, and troubleshoot electrical systems to minimize downtime.

Requires an engineering degree and 5+ years in HMI/PLC/motion control troubleshooting, with experience in AutoCAD and IEC-based programming concepts.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree and 5+ years of related experience in HMI, PLC, and motion control troubleshooting.
  • Experience with PLC/HMI, Allen Bradley RSLogix, Beckhoff/Codesys on production lines.
  • Willingness to travel 0–20% monthly, more during onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • 70% – Implement, modify, test, and troubleshoot new and existing systems, including HMI and PLC software, electrical layouts, and technical documentation
  • 20% – Drive continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects, NCR resolution, and other manufacturing duties as required
  • 10% – Create and maintain documentation of existing systems
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations
