Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician II to support the assembly, testing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial automation and control systems. The role involves working across water/wastewater, manufacturing, energy, and other industries with minimal overnight travel.

You will gain experience in controls, instrumentation, networking, and system startup activities while contributing to shop operations and on-site implementations.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial controls, automation, instrumentation, or electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass required background screening and substance testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels and automation equipment.
• Stage projects and prepare materials based on bills of material and project documentation.
• Review electrical drawings and documentation for accuracy and communicate discrepancies.
• Support equipment testing, quality assurance activities, and shipment preparation.
• Maintain compliance with established quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Perform installation, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial automation systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot field instrumentation and control devices.
• Assist with PLC and industrial networking diagnostics.
• Collaborate remotely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
