Job summary

H2K Technologies, a UCC Environmental company, seeks an entry‑level Controls/Electrical Design Engineer to help develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and power distribution for industrial automation projects. You’ll work with senior engineers on PLC/HMI programming, motor control, and system architecture while supporting panel construction and field commissioning.

Ideal for recent graduates or technicians; familiar with NEC/UL508A, AutoCAD, and Rockwell Studio 5000; you’ll gain hands-on

Qualifications

2-year technical degree in Electrical/Process Control Technology, Mechatronics, or related field
0–2 years of experience in controls design, PLC programming, panel building, or related field
Familiarity with PLC programming and HMI configuration; coursework or internship acceptable
Ability to read electrical schematics; AutoCAD experience is a plus
Knowledge of UL508A and NEC codes is beneficial

Responsibilities

Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and power distribution for automation systems
Program and configure PLCs and HMIs under guidance
Assist with controls architecture, I/O allocation, and device selection
Support motor control design and power distribution components
Assist panel builds, testing, and on-site startup support
Ensure documentation, revision control, and compliance with UL508A
