Job summary

Dubak Electrical Group LLC seeks a mid-level Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission control systems for manufacturing and automation processes. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, and electrical schematics, and lead small projects while collaborating with clients and field teams.

You will develop control strategies, validate designs, and provide on-site start-up support, with travel to client sites as needed. A strong background in AutoCAD and safety standards is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Mid-level experience, typically 3–8 years, based on demonstrated technical competency and independence.
• Experience or knowledge in HMI programming.
• Experience or knowledge in PLC programming.
• Familiarity with control panel design and electrical schematics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with clients, engineers, electricians, and operations personnel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; familiarity with BlueBeam.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Experience in design, programming, or maintaining building automation systems utilizing Niagara 4 software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently executes design, programming, and commissioning tasks.
• Works under the direction of senior-level engineers and engineering manager.
• Owns subsystems or small projects; regular client and field interaction.
• Performs service calls for local clients; ability to meet project schedules.
• Develops, purchases, and tracks materials with control system BOM.
• Lead control and automation projects with client technical sales and scope development.
• Provide plant check-out, commissioning and start-up services at customer sites.
• Develop functional design specifications, system manuals, FAT/SAT documentation and submittals.
