Job summary

PTS Advance is currently looking for Control Systems Designers for temporary positions across multiple sites including Bellingham WA, Walnut Creek CA, Billings MT, Salt Lake City UT or Anchorage AK.

What You'll Do: Design partnership with Control Systems Engineers, develop construction packages, and build expertise in instrumentation and control systems; Technical development with diagrams and layouts; ensure quality and compliance with codes and drawing standards.

Qualifications

• 1–10 years of experience in control systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; drafting skills and basic 3D design knowledge.
• AutoCAD Level 1 & 2 certificates or 1–3 years I&C design experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Industrial facility work capability with ladder climbing and PPE compliance.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Team collaboration in diverse environments.
• Willingness to travel for remote work sites.
• Self-driven work ethic with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design partnership: execute project design tasks with Control Systems Engineers and support detailed construction package development.
• Technical development: create block diagrams, location plans, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and equipment layouts; research client databases and coordinate document control procedures.
• Quality execution: perform quality checks on your work while developing understanding of codes, standards, and professional drawing requirements.
