Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, bills of material, wire lists, and related production documentation.
  • Ability to safely and accurately use hand tools, power tools, wire-processing tools, measuring devices, and electrical test equipment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits, wiring methods, component identification, polarity, terminations, and safe electrical work practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, high-quality wiring and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, production employees, and other internal partners.
  • Ability to learn new control-panel designs, components, wiring methods, test procedures, and production systems.
  • Regular on-site physical presence is required; ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment and follow applicable electrical safety and PPE requirements.
  • Preferred: previous control-panel wiring, electrical assembly, industrial electrical, switchgear, or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, bills of material, wire lists, and other approved documentation.
  • Prepare, route, label, terminate, and organize wires and conductors according to drawings and production requirements.
  • Install and wire control-panel components such as terminal blocks, relays, breakers, fuses, power supplies, PLC-related components, and other devices.
  • Perform panel layout and fabrication tasks including measuring, marking, drilling, tapping, cutting, fastening, and mounting components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, wire-processing tools, measuring devices, multimeters, and other electrical test equipment safely and accurately.
  • Perform continuity checks and testing and document results according to procedures.
  • Inspect wiring, routing, labeling, terminations, component placement, workmanship, and quality before testing.
  • Coordinate with Electrical Assembly, Engineering, Quality, Materials, and others to resolve production needs and technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate wire lists, redlines, work orders, test records, quality checklists and other documentation.
  • Perform rework and changes to bring wiring and panels into conformance.
  • Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, safety, quality, wiring accuracy, and production performance.
