Industrial Control Panel AssemblerStep into a day where your craftsmanship powers cutting-edge automation. You arrive, grab the latest build package for a robotic cell, and start transforming drawings into a polished, fully wired control panel that will drive world-class automation systems.A day in your roleMorning: You review engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. You plan the enclosure layout, mark cutouts, and prepare panels and backplates. Before a single hole is drilled, you reconcile parts against the Bill of Material to ensure everything is on hand.Midday: You assemble electrical control panels and related assemblies, wiring devices with correct voltage levels and industry-standard color codes. With wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, screwdrivers, wrenches, and measurement devices, you route and terminate neatly, labeling as you go.Afternoon: You conduct continuity checks and workmanship reviews to meet strict FANUC standards for safety and quality. You complete work orders and ERP transactions, tidy your station, and note any improvements for the next build. Throughout the day, you follow Lockout/Tagout, PPE guidelines, hazardous material handling, and all electrical safety standards—working efficiently both independently and alongside your team to hit productivity goals. What you'll tackleAssemble electrical control panels and automation equipment to engineering specificationsInterpret and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical docsExecute enclosure layouts, panel prep, and precision cutouts based on build needsWire components using proper voltages and industry color conventionsVerify electrical and mechanical parts against the BOMPerform quality inspections to ensure conformance with FANUC workmanship, continuity, and safety requirementsUse electrical hand tools and measurement devices with confidenceComplete work orders and transact builds in the ERP systemAdhere to LOTO, PPE, hazardous materials, and electrical safety proceduresMaintain productivity targets while contributing as an individual and team memberWhat you bringHigh School Diploma or GED1–5 years in manufacturing electrical assembly, panel building, or electrical testFluency reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawingsHands-on experience with both electrical and mechanical assembliesProficiency with wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, screwdrivers, wrenches, and measurement toolsDetail focus and a strong commitment to qualityBackground working in manufacturing environmentsCandidates from Electrical Repair, Maintenance, Automotive, Panel Building, Electrician, or Electrical Apprenticeship roles are encouraged to applyPreferredISO 9001 familiarityExperience with ERP systemsKnowledge of MIOSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout, and manufacturing safety proceduresJoin a world leader in industrial automation and robotics and build panels that bring advanced systems to life.
