Job summary

Enerfab, a long-standing leader in fabrication and construction, seeks an engineering or construction management student intern. You’ll read blueprints, help prepare technical and commercial documents, and assist estimators on active projects while ensuring safety and quality in all activities.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in 2D/3D drawings, RFI processes, and project closeout procedures within Enerfab’s industrial construction environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Experience with Windows applications including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide thorough attention to detail.
• Interest in a future in the construction field with a focus on industrial construction.

Responsibilities

• Blueprint reading using Bluebeam and CAD for 2D and 3D drawings.
• Assist project team to produce project documents for execution.
• Support cost estimating with development of project estimates.
• Prepare RFI/submittal documentation with specs, drawings, and scope.
• Assist with project closeout: review change orders and gather learnings.
• Participate in safety and quality management to prevent incidents.
