Job summary

TEiC Services is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our Industrial Construction team. The role focuses on developing accurate and competitive project estimates, supporting pre-construction, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and partnering with operations to ensure successful project execution.

The estimator will help secure new work and support change management on active projects, reviewing drawings and specs, and applying market trends to develop competitive estimates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
5+ years of construction estimating experience in heavy industrial environments.
Experience developing estimates for projects valued at $15M+.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and conceptual cost estimates from drawings, specs, and requirements.
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and equipment installation.
Develop subcontractor bid packages and manage solicitation process.
Collaborate with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on scope, budgets, and schedules.
Maintain cost databases and unit pricing information.
Support proposal development, scheduling, and bid reviews with leadership.
Participate in turnover meetings and provide estimating docs to construction teams.

TEiC Services is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our growing Industrial Construction team.

This highly visible role is responsible for developing accurate and competitive project estimates, supporting the full pre-construction process, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and partnering with operations teams to ensure successful project execution. The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in securing new work and supporting change management on active projects.

What You’ll Do

Prepare detailed and conceptual cost estimates for heavy industrial construction projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and equipment installation scopes.
Develop subcontractor bid packages, manage the solicitation process, and evaluate and level proposals.
Collaborate with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to align project scope, budgets, schedules, and execution strategies.
Maintain labor, equipment, and material cost databases and unit pricing information.
Support proposal development, scheduling, and bid reviews with company leadership.
Participate in project turnover meetings and provide estimating documentation to construction teams upon award.
Review construction drawings, specifications, schematics, and other technical documents.
Apply industry knowledge, commercial awareness, and market trends to develop competitive estimates.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
5+ years of construction estimating experience in heavy industrial environments.
Prior experience developing estimates for projects valued at $15M or greater.
Understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation construction scopes.
Experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project scheduling software; Primavera P6 and InEight experience is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
