Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Cressona, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the machine shop focused on calibration, combustion maintenance, and process control support. You will review work orders, maintain records, and ensure NFPA 86 compliance while aiding engineers and supervisors in plan execution.

The role requires an electrical/electro-mechanical background or related degree, with hands-on experience in industrial electrical and control systems, and a strong set of diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Electrical or electro-mechanical degree or certificate with 1 year of experience or 3 years of industrial/technical experience.
• Knowledge assessments and training will be completed to maintain and improve required skills.
• Strong ability to read, comprehend and interpret schematics, loop drawings, P&ID’s and other technical resources.

Responsibilities

• Maintain calibration, survey, and combustion maintenance records per requirements.
• Review process control, calibration, survey, and combustion planned work orders for completion and follow-up.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to optimize combustion equipment.
• Ensure combustion systems comply with NFPA 86 and company standards.
• Assist engineers and supervisors with test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans.
• Utilize Maximo, Oracle, PLCs, data loggers, calibrators, and infrared cameras to support craft functions.

Starting Rate of pay: $28.58-$42.00/hour

Shifts Available and Hours: 2nd shift Monday- Friday, 2pm-10pm

3rd shift Monday- Friday, 10pm-6am

What you will be doing

• Responsible to ensure all calibration, survey, and required combustion maintenance records are maintained according to their prescribed requirements.
• Will review all process control, calibration, survey, and combustion planned work orders for proper completion and/or noted issues that will require follow-up.
• Responsible to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance as required to maintain combustion equipment to obtain optimal efficiency and product uniformity.
• Responsible to ensure combustion systems are being maintained within NFPA 86 and company compliance.
• Responsible to assist engineers and supervisors in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain equipment and problem solve process variation issues.
• Responsible to use various hardware and software technologies such as, but not limited to, Maximo, Oracle, Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500, ControlLogix, Data Loggers, Calibrators, Infrared Cameras as tools to support craft functionality.

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

• An Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Technical Degree or certificate equivalent with 1 year of applicable experience or 3 years’ applicable experience in an industrial or related setting with a technical background in industrial electrical, electromechanical, combustion and process control systems.
• Candidate will be required to successfully complete knowledge and skills assessments and participate in training initiatives to maintain and improve skills in required time frames.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong ability to read, comprehend and interpret schematics, loop drawings, P&ID’s and other technical resource manuals.
• Self-motivated with strong problem solving skills capable of effectively and efficiently troubleshooting complex combustion, process control loops and other instrument device failures.
• Software knowledge base skills and the ability to perform calculations and conversions.
