The role provides field leadership, oversight of productivity and workmanship, and serves as the main contact between crews, inspectors, and project management. Strong safety and drawing-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of industrial painting, coatings, sandblasting, or surface preparation experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or foreman experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial coating systems, painting methods, and surface preparation requirements.
• Experience with airless spray equipment, conventional spray systems, brushes, rollers, and blasting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings, specifications, coating schedules, and technical data sheets.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct industrial painting and coating crews on assigned projects.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and project schedules.
• Review project specifications, coating requirements, drawings, and work packages.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce safety requirements.
• Ensure proper surface preparation activities and coating applications.
• Monitor coating application for compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate access equipment and fall protection systems.
• Inspect completed work for quality and coating standards.
• Maintain production schedules and crew productivity to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate material deliveries and storage of paints and blasting materials.
• Maintain equipment and tools safety and operability.
• Communicate project status and field issues to management.
• Maintain daily reports and timesheets.
• Train and mentor crew members for safety, quality, and development.
• Assist with inspections and client audits.
