Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Janitor to maintain clean, safe facilities at our industrial sites. The role requires standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – Previous janitorial or custodial experience in the industrial industry.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work on foot for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Certification/License - Any Photo ID Acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company Safety Policies and Procedures
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Waxing furniture and cleaning fixtures
• Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles
• Keeping buildings free from indoor pests
• Maintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment
• Ensuring equipment and lights are switched off, and premises are locked after hours
• Collaborating with contract cleaning services
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
• Other duties as assigned.
