Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a janitorial/custodial worker for on-site cleaning in Texas. You will perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, trash removal, and general upkeep to keep facilities tidy and safe. You will follow safety policies and coordinate with other cleaning services as needed.

Must ensure the buildings are tidy, clean and well-maintained.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Comply with company Safety Policies and Procedures
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Waxing furniture and cleaning fixtures
• Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles
• Keeping buildings free from indoor pests
• Maintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment
• Ensuring equipment and lights are switched off, and premises are locked after hours
• Collaborating with contract cleaning services
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Experience – Previous janitorial or custodial experience in the industrial industry. Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work on foot for extended periods. Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Certification/License - Driver's License.
