Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of industrial cleaning personnel.
• Assign tasks and monitor work performance to ensure quality standards are met.
• Train employees in cleaning procedures, safety practices, and proper use of equipment.
• Conduct inspections of production areas, equipment, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
• Oversee cleaning of tanks, pits, ducts, machinery, conveyors, and processing equipment.
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals, solvents, degreasers, and disinfectants.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment and submit replenishment requests as needed.
• Operate and oversee the use of pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and specialized cleaning equipment.
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements.
• Investigate and report safety concerns, incidents, and equipment malfunctions.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance departments to schedule cleaning activities.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and employee attendance.

Industrial Cleaning Supervisor

Location: Sumter, SC

Pay Rate: $16 Hr.

Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Industrial Cleaning Supervisor to lead and oversee industrial cleaning operations within a manufacturing environment. The supervisor will be responsible for directing cleaning staff, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining cleanliness standards, coordinating daily activities, and supporting efficient facility operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of industrial cleaning personnel
• Assign tasks and monitor work performance to ensure quality standards are met
• Train employees in cleaning procedures, safety practices, and proper use of equipment
• Conduct inspections of production areas, equipment, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance
• Oversee cleaning of tanks, pits, ducts, machinery, conveyors, and processing equipment
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals, solvents, degreasers, and disinfectants

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous industrial cleaning experience required
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals
• Ability to train and motivate employees while maintaining accountability
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work instructions
• Background check and drug screen required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work around machinery, industrial equipment, and cleaning chemicals
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe or composite-toe footwear
