The position offers $17.50 per hour with full benefits and daily pay options. You must be 18+, hold a high school diploma or GED, and be capable of following written and verbal instructions while wearing required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuums to keep production floors clean and safe.
• Handle collection, transport, and disposal of waste and recyclables per protocol.
• Operate baler and compactor for recycling cardboard and plastics.
• Assist with mixing areas and safely handle raw materials as needed.
• Perform environmental tasks, spill response, and chemical handling support.
• Conduct equipment checks, basic maintenance, and report issues.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in production and warehouse areas.
• Support additional plant operations and safety initiatives.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Vonachen Group is looking to hire an Industrial Cleaner on Rotating Shifts in Topeka, KS.

The Industrial Cleaner plays a vital role in keeping our facility safe, clean, and operating efficiently. This position supports production by performing specialized cleaning, recycling, and materials-handling duties across the facility. Industrial Cleaners work with a variety of equipment and processes—from floor scrubbers to mixing support—and are essential to creating a safe, sustainable, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuums to maintain clean and safe production floors
• Handle collection, transport, and disposal of waste and recyclable materials following plant protocols
• Operate baler and compactor equipment for recycling cardboard, plastics, and other materials
• Assist with mixing support by cleaning mixing areas and safely handling raw materials as needed
• Perform environmental tasks, including spill response, chemical handling support, and maintaining compliance with environmental standards
• Conduct equipment checks, basic maintenance, and report issues promptly
• Maintain housekeeping standards throughout production and warehouse areas
• Support additional plant operations and safety initiatives as directed
• Completing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years or older with reliable transportation
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to safety and ability to wear required PPE
• Good communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Previous experience with industrial cleaning equipment or powered vehicles (forklift, baler, scrubber) preferred, but training provided

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Work in hot/cold environments and around industrial equipment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
