Job summary

Ox Bodies in Fayette, Alabama, a subsidiary of Federal Signal, designs and manufactures Class 6 to 8 dump bodies and related equipment. We are seeking a general labor/manufacturing technician to assist with assembly duties and maintain equipment in a heavy industrial environment.

You will move components using jib and overhead cranes, perform machine maintenance, and adhere to safety protocols. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand long shifts, climb onto chassis, and work

Qualifications

• Educational: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: No relevant experience required, training is provided.
• Other: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb onto chassis. Must be able to stand for 10 hours. Must be able to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Using jib crane, overhead crane, slings or manual lifting, grinder, buffer, chipping hammer, scraper, and dye grinder move components into proper position at machine.
• Perform maintenance activities as required for specific machines.
• As a condition of employment, work all assigned days and overtime as required.
• Must wear all PPE required.
• Manually remove all excess weld splatter that the blaster does not get off.
• Grind any knots.
• Install boards on dump body.
• Perform 5S daily.
