Job summary

Ox Bodies, a subsidiary of Federal Signal, is seeking a hands-on assembler to move components into position on machines using cranes and hand tools. You will perform routine maintenance on equipment and comply with safety PPE requirements. The role includes overtime and weekend work as needed.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and can lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and climb onto chassis. Training is provided, with 5S daily practices in the work environment.

Qualifications

• Educational: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: No relevant experience required, training is provided.
• Other: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb onto chassis. Must be able to stand for 10 hours. Must be able to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Move components into proper position at machine using jib crane, overhead crane, slings or manual lifting, grinder, buffer, chipping hammer, scraper, and dye grinder.
• Perform maintenance activities as required for specific machines.
• Work all assigned days and overtime as required.
• Wear all PPE required.
• Remove weld splatter not removed by blaster and grind knots.
• Install boards on dump body.
• Perform 5S daily.
