Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a dependable Janitor / Industrial Cleaner for a well-established food manufacturing facility near Derby, NY. This is a full-time, onsite role with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, paying $17.00 per hour.

No prior janitorial experience is required, and training will be provided. You will help keep offices, break rooms, hallways, and production areas clean while following safety guidelines and reporting hazards as needed.

Qualifications

• No previous janitorial experience required.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Willingness to perform routine cleaning tasks, including restroom sanitation.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the workday.
• Ability to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn proper cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in janitorial services or related fields is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and clean floors throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in offices, break rooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Empty trash containers and properly dispose of waste.
• Keep production support areas, shop floors, and walkways clean and free of debris.
• Clean spills and help maintain a safe working environment.
• Replenish restroom supplies, paper products, and cleaning materials.
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely.
• Follow established cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards to supervisors.
• Assist with other general cleaning and facility housekeeping duties as assigned.
