LACOSTA Facility Support Services in Bourbonnais, IL is seeking an Industrial Cleaner for the 2nd shift. The role involves safety-conscious cleaning across plant facilities, with an emphasis on reliability and teamwork.

Expect 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Monday–Friday, $15.00–$16.00 per hour. A background check and drug testing are required. Training provided; PPE furnished; benefits include health and vision insurance, 401K and PTO.

• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Complete tasks according to established cleaning procedures and schedules.

Job Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40hrs/week

• 2nd Shift: 2:00PM-10:30PM

Pay Rate:

Job duties : We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious General Cleaner to perform janitorial duties across multiple buildings within a steel plant environment. This role involves frequent walking, standing, and traveling between buildings, both on foot and by vehicle, in all weather conditions.

You will be exposed to extreme heat, and heights. This position is at a steel mill where, at times, you will be working near visible flames.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break areas, offices, and common spaces.
• Travel between various buildings on the plant site as part of daily responsibilities.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Complete all tasks according to established cleaning procedures and schedules.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license may be required to travel between buildings.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and PPE compliance.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Basic janitorial or cleaning experience preferred but not required, training will be provided.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
