Job summary

Peoplemark in Pendleton, SC is seeking an Industrial Cleaner for 1st shift. The role pays $13.00 per hour, Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 2:30pm, performing cleaning and sanitation in an industrial manufacturing setting while supporting production efficiency.

Responsibilities include tank and duct cleaning, machinery cleaning, handling cleaning chemicals, and maintaining cleanliness of facilities. A background check and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Background Check and Drug Screen required.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job including standing, walking, bending, and climbing for the entirety of the shift.
• Able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Safely work with a wide variety of cleaning chemicals.
• Be able to wear PPE including safety glasses, earplugs and steel toe or composite toe shoes for the entirety of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Tank cleaning and pit cleaning
• Duct cleaning
• Operation of commercial pressure washing equipment
• Deep cleaning and degreasing
• Cleaning large machinery
• Removing grease from equipment
• Collecting reusable scrap for salvage and proper storage
• Cleaning common areas (rooms, hallways, restrooms, etc.)
• Polishing metalwork and removing dust, lint, oil, and grease from machinery and conveyors
• Scrubbing processing tanks and vats
• Transporting trash and waste to designated disposal areas
• Cleaning screens and filters, operating floor scrubbers, and maintaining facility fixtures
• Perform heavy duty cleaning on machinery as needed
• Use a wide range of chemicals including solvents, detergents, degreasers and disinfectants daily
• Cleaning heavy duty grime, oil, grease and other contaminants typically found in production and machining processes
• Operating special high powered cleaning equipment as needed
• Other duties as assigned.
