Job summary

Cajun Industries in Tyler, Texas invites a Civil Engineer to join our engineering team. You will support the planning, design, and execution of civil and structural projects for industrial facilities, developing practical, constructible solutions with project managers and field teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and a Professional Engineer license or progress toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of five years of civil/structural engineering experience.
• Experience with industrial facilities preferred.
• Familiarity with API standards and client specifications preferred.
• Professional Engineer license or progress toward licensure.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil and structural designs, calculations, reports, drawings, and construction documents.
• Design reinforced-concrete foundations for equipment, vessels, tanks, and structures.
• Design structural-steel framing, platforms, pipe supports, and access structures.
• Perform structural analysis for gravity, wind, seismic, and other loads.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, and contractors throughout project execution.
• Review subcontractor deliverables for compliance with requirements.
