Job summary

Brown and Root External in Theodore, AL seeks an experienced Planner/Scheduler for our Civil Department, with experience in Industrial Paint, Civil, and Industrial Insulation.

The role involves preparing estimates, planning work, and coordinating with production in a manufacturing setting. The candidate should have SAP experience, a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a background check; schedule is Mon-Thu 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with mandatory overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior years of experience in the field or related area.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures.
• Estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job.
• Reviews specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates.
• Maintains files of working documents and back-up for estimate figures.
• Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
• Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites.
• Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
• Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
