Job summary

Turner Industries Group, LLC seeks a Civil Carpenter to join our Lake Charles, LA area team. The role involves constructing, erecting, installing, fabricating and repairing structures, formwork and fixtures of wood and metal per drawings.

Ideal applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–4 years of experience, basic hand and power tool skills, and possibly NCCER certification. Pre-employment testing and strict safety requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• 1–4 years of experience in the trade, depending on level.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• NCCER certification may be required at some sites.
• Pre-employment qualification test is required.
• Pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Job site safety requirements must be followed.
• Safety equipment must be worn as required by client.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints and plans for materials and dimensions.
• Prepare layouts, mark cut lines, and assemble components.
• Erect frameworks, build stairs, and install doors and trim.
• Construct forms for concrete and install formwork per drawings.
• Load and haul materials, finish concrete, and install hardware.
