Job summary

Essex Solutions seeks a Concast Crew member to operate coiler and support equipment, band coils and prepare shipment paperwork. You will manage pallets and perform mill-side duties, and handle furnace loading and Rotary furnace tasks.

You will execute team startup tasks, wheel and band changes, and routine cleaning, while using forklifts, skid steers and hoist equipment. Attention to detail and following manuals are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry level position; on-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to follow operating manuals and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate the coiler, banding coils, and prepare shipment paperwork.
• Maintain pallets and supplies; perform mill-side operations.
• Operate combustion system, melt copper, load furnaces and Rotary furnace.
• Conduct start-ups, roll changes, band changes and wheel changes; clean parts.
• Operate forklifts, skid steers and silent hoist; keep area tidy.
• Identify casting issues and document corrective actions.
