Job summary

Zachry Group in Roxboro, NC is seeking a Carpenter Helper to support industrial construction projects. The role focuses on assisting with measurements, cutting, and building wooden forms, and helping reinforce or dismantle concrete structures.

You will follow safety rules, maintain clean work areas, and work a full schedule with overtime as needed. Reliable transportation and basic arithmetic are required.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience working in Industrial Construction as a Carpenter Helper
• Must have knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form construction.
• Must be able to computer basic arithmetic functions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work full work schedule and any additional overtime as needed
• Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Must follow all company and site rules and regulations.
• Must have required tools.

Responsibilities

• Ability to identify all tools required for tasks.
• Ability to identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
• Assist in the measurement, marking, and cutting of wooden/metallic materials to required specifications.
• Assist in the construction, re-enforcement, and dismantling of pre-constructed concrete forms.
• Assist in building and constructing wooden forms.
• Assist on miscellaneous construction projects such as but not limited to building decks and steps, building bulletin boards, and building any additional wooden structures.
• Cleanup/housekeeping of work areas.
