Job summary

Staff Management | SMX in Asheboro, NC is seeking a Carpenter Handyman to support long-term projects in an industrial setting. The role requires experience with hand tools, framing, sheetrock, drywall, painting, roofing and basic plumbing.

1st shift is 7:00 am–3:00 pm with occasional overtime; pay is $20.00–$24.00 per hour. You will operate a variety of hand tools, work with supervision, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks in a clean, safe plant

Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools, framing, sheetrock, drywall, painting, roofing and basic plumbing.
• Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to stand for shift duration and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with projects around the plant that involve painting, trim, baseboard, drywall, laying carpet, tile, sheet rock, framing, wood flooring, and plumbing.
• Operate multiple types of hand tools.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols in all work performed.
