Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred).
• 2+ years estimating experience in building construction, design, or subcontract management.
• Understanding of Metal Building Structures for industrial projects; basic understanding of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; building codes.
• Experience with EPC and Design-Build environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Bluebeam and Navisworks; InEight Estimate (HardDollar) preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong oral/written communication; leadership and teamwork skills.
• Strong work ethic; motivated; able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Use engineering techniques to conduct estimates and adhere to policy across all classes of estimates.
• Estimate buildings with multiple execution methodologies (design-bid-build, design-build).
• Review owner documents to develop detailed, comprehensive cost estimates.
• Create subcontract bid packages for vendor quotes.
• Identify required design deliverables from each discipline to meet estimate accuracy.
• Review drawings for lighting, power, HVAC, and plumbing in bid packages.
• Apply industry best practices and project sequencing to each estimate.
• Consult with estimate team on bid challenges, rates, and schedules.
• Participate in estimate reviews and present findings to management.
• Benchmark against past project data and monitor estimating metrics.
• Stay updated on industry trends and value engineering opportunities.
• Facilitate cross-discipline communication.
