Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an Insulator for work in the Decatur, AL area. The role covers boilers, pipes, tanks and refrigeration units with insulating materials to reduce heat loss and sound transmission.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–4 years of insulator experience. Basic tools knowledge, possible NCCER certification, and post-offer drug testing are required. Physical work and strict safety adherence are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of insulator experience depending on level.
• Basic knowledge of insulator hand tools, tape measure, cutting tools, and power tools.
• NCCER certification may be required at some job sites.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and safety policy agreement.
• Comply with job-site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install fiberglass or other insulation on boilers, pipes, tanks, and equipment.
• Cut and fit insulation sections to equipment, seal joints and overlaps.
• Wires insulation on machinery and apply protective coverings as needed.
• Work in accordance with site safety rules and procedures.
