Job summary

Major Talent in Minnesota is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to monitor and repair boiler and facility systems. The role requires a 2nd Class B Boilers License or eligibility within 90 days and 2–3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food-processing.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenances, and ensure safe, compliant operation. The position offers competitive hourly pay, a night shift differential, a $3,000 sign-on bonus, and benefits including

Qualifications

• 2nd Class B Boilers License required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 2-3 years of previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Food-processing or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with industrial equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to follow technical and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment and facility issues.
• Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor boiler systems, operating conditions, gauges, pressures, temperatures, and other system readings.
• Troubleshoot boiler and utility system problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain and repair heating, plumbing, electrical, and other facility systems.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting involving hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Assist with refrigeration system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Inspect equipment and systems to identify potential problems before equipment failure occurs.
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance activities and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Follow established operating procedures, written maintenance instructions, and safety requirements.
• Support production operations by responding to equipment problems and minimizing equipment downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow plant safety and food-processing requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

The position pays $27.00-$34.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus an additional $1.00 per hour night-shift differential.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available.
