Job summary

ABM Industries Inc. is seeking Stationary Engineers to operate, maintain, and repair low-pressure steam and hot water boiler systems and related HVAC equipment across facilities.

The role involves safety testing, documentation, and coordination to ensure reliable, compliant facility operations. You will read drawings and schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems, including BAS integration and CMMS-driven work orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of boiler maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, or large facilities.
• Experience with low-pressure steam and hot water heating systems and HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, and maintain low-pressure steam and hot water boiler systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, burners, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, controls, piping, steam traps, condensate return systems, and feedwater systems.
• Identify and repair faults in boiler and heating system equipment.
• Conduct safety tests, blowdowns, water level checks, and operational inspections.
• Monitor boiler water treatment programs and boiler water chemistry.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and regulatory compliance.
• Utilize CMMS software to document and track work orders.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems.
